Technology and Artificial Intelligence to Counter Disinformation

On 16 June 2021 I moderated of conference Day One and a special session at the WeVerify conference entitled „Technology and Artificial Intelligence to counter disinformation.“

Overall, this was a 2-day event, lasting four and 3 hours respectively.

The topical focus of the digital conference and workshop was on countering disinformation with the use of technology and articicial intelligence.

I led through Day One and also moderated a session with

Hazel Baker, Global Head of UGC Newsgathering at Reuters / Reuters Fact Check;

Sophie Nicholson, Deputy Chief Editor, Digital Verification at AFP Agence France Press / AFP FactCheck; and

Sam Dubberley, Head of Evidence Lab of Amnesty International’s Crisis Response Team.

Overall, an enjoyable event that was attended by more than 140 people.
