This year saw the 19th edition of the International Journalism Festival in Perugia, Italy. I was there for the fourth time in a row, delighted to attend many sessions in the beautiful Umbrian town, meeting loads of interesting people – old and new.
On day 2 of the festival, which gathers a few thousand participants, I moderated the session “Technology and automation in the fight against misinformation”, which I had also developed and organised. I was fortunate to have with me on the panel:
- Hazel Baker from news agency Reuters,
- Alexandre Alaphilippe from EU DisinfoLab, and
- Guido Bülow from Facebook.
